Has anyone ever had this done? I keep hearing about how it's better than waxing but I'm not sure why. If you have heard of it, can anyone recommend a place in Suffolk/Central Nassau?
TIA!

Re: NWR: Eyebrow Threading?
I go to a place in hicksville for eyebrow threading. It can be a little painful, but less than waxing I was assume. They wrap the thread around their fingers and go back and forth around ur brow, pulling all the hairs up in between. Its awesome i'm a huge fan. I dont know the place's name, but its right on Old Country Road just west of Broadway.

I get my eyebrows threaded - it lasts longer than waxing, and it's not as painful (to me.)
It costs $6 - and I either go to the 'Perfect Shape' on Park Avenue South btw E23rd/E22nd; or 'Pinky's' on 6th Avenue btw W39th/W38th Street.

It's actually a lot cleaner and safer than hot wax. You just never know what's in that wax sitting around all day being on everyone's VARIOUS parts of the body, and they definitely don't change the wax and the sticks as often as they should.
The threading uses a fresh piece (sometimes more) for each person.
It's like a more precise way of 'Plucking'

That being said, did anyone here 'the funk' on Hot97 this morning???
A woman went to get her eyebrows and lip waxed, and developed an infection! It could have been from someone else that came in earlier and got their stuff done and then the place didn't change the wax or the stick, harboring the infection and passing it along to someone else.
Now, that is disgusting.

Ewww that IS disgusting!!
What is considered central Nassau? Im sure theres places that do threading. Most indian salons do them.
I waxed a couple times and hated it, it gave me no shape and my brows ended up being way too thin.
Threading gives your brows a better shape (IMO) and its not painful for me anyway.
