I think it's better than waxing because the heat from the wax can cause some people (like myself) to break out. I like threading way better than waxing! I also think it looks better.

Re: NWR: Eyebrow Threading?
threading KILLS me.....it was so painful....and trust me...i am usually good w/ pain.
i stick w/ waxing because its over so quickly.
now FH gets his brows threaded and prefers it over waxing......
so i guess to each one his own....

Re: NWR: Eyebrow Threading?
I LOVE it.... I can't get my eyebrows waxed or plucked because I get redness and bumps for a week because my face is so sensitive, so I tried threading for the first time last month and it was the BEST thing ever. The redness lasted 20 minutes because they don't tug on the sking. It cost like $13 and it was at a hair salon in Babylon, but it was so worth it!.

I think it is so much better than waxing! I am a huge fan. It lasts much longer and you do not get red or breakout from it at all.

Less than five minutes, nd they don't have to tweeze as a 'cleanup' afterwards.

I go once a month, instead of every two weeks like I used to do with waxing. But, it honestly depends on your own hair growth.
The entire (Indian) area of Queens - what is it - Jackson Heights/Forrest Hills - does threading.

Re: NWR: Eyebrow Threading?
The one in Bayside is good, I totally forgot what it was called, but it was on Bell blvd. and 37th. It's right next door to a paint store (pete and sons paint I think) They are very good, and threading is def. better than waxing!

Re: NWR: Eyebrow Threading?
Are there any in Suffolk?? Maybe around Huntington or Commack? I'll even go as far as Centereach if there is a place. Everywhere near me only does waxing, and they always screw up my eyebrows and make one higher or thinner than the other....

The closest one I found to that area was in Babylon on Montauk Highway!

What's it called in Babylon? Where exactly is it? How much was it? Thanks so much.

Re: NWR: Eyebrow Threading?
I love threading!!! Someone told me (and I am just repeating what I heard - I am not sure if it is true) that waxing causes the skin around your eyes to age due to the pulling of the skin, whereas threading doesn't.
Anyway, I go to Cosmopolitan in Hicksville on Old Country Road right after Rte 107. I have also been to Femina and Aaina in Hicksville on Route 107 (Hicksville Road) and they are great also!
I even converted my friend, Mom and SIL to threading!!!

I can't remember what the name is but the phone number is 4224247. It's next to where Bed Bath & Beyond and Old Navy shopping center is... It might actually be West Babylon. They charge $13 there, which is more expensive than some places, but it's SO worth it...

Re: NWR: Eyebrow Threading?
I have been going back and forth with threading, but I think I am going to try it. I break out from waxing and it doesn't last as long as it should. Did anyone ever get their lip threaded?
