So last year was our first year in the new apartment and FI had gotten me a real christmas tree because I said I would like to have one.... well after the mess I had to clean up afterward I've decided I really don't care if it's real or fake.
So I want to buy a really nice, good quality fake christmas tree that will last us a very long time (so I am willing to spend a decent amount of $$ on it).
Anybody any recommendation of where to get one? I'll even buy online.

We bought one in Home Depot and it has the lights in it and it was super cheap on sale and it's excellent quality.

FMIL got a really nice fake tree last year at Harrow's. There are still a few stores around. Check out their web site. I know the mess is a pain.Dispite the mess......FH & I are a big fan of real trees. We have the mess thing down to a science. Good Luck!

FH actually ordered ours off of JCPenney.com
I was kind of weirded out at first when he told me that, but it's actually really nice!

Re: NWR: Fake Christmas Trees
thanks for the suggestions girls! I'll look into it.
I know i can always just go to Home Depot or BJs by me but I wanted to see if there were other options.
We had bought a fake tree at one point it was such poor quality. I really want one that's going to last.

Just be sure you can see the tree set up before you buy it. Touch the branches to see how sturdy they are, otherwise you might get one that's too weak to support ornaments.

HARROWS! it's the best place for christmas decorations & trees! It was my grandfathers favorite place to go, since me & him are very big on decorating. So since he has passed, I keep up the tradition!

I actually got mine at KMart...it is a Martha Stewart pre-lit tree. It's easy to put together.
I love it.

I got a pre-lit tree from Lowes last year. Found the same one in Target in and it was more expensive there.

Re: NWR: Fake Christmas Trees
thanks again girls.
I'm going to start looking either this weekend or next since I will have a better selection than when it gets closer to the holidays and everything is snagged up or the stores are a mess!

Re: NWR: Fake Christmas Trees
we went to Home Depot too...just make sure you see it in the store...some of them look horribly fake.
i know the real ones are a mess but make sure you have room to store the fake tree!! they take up a decent amount of space.

Re: NWR: Fake Christmas Trees
We actually bought a 9ft christams tree from Fortunoffs when they were closing because of the great price. We ended up buying a house that only has 8ft ceilings so I might be selling it. If you are interested FM me.

Re: NWR: Fake Christmas Trees
I think Harrows is back, if so I would go there. My grandmother bought me a fake tree when I was little. I always had my own tree in the kitchen with my own ornaments. When it kicked the bucket my parents and I hit them all... Target, Lowes, Home Depot... Harrows had the best selection and best prices.
Edited to add... if you will miss the smell, go to Bath and Body and get the Christmas Tree scented wall flowers. It smells like the real thing.
