NWR: feeling bummed
don't mean to be a debbie downer but I wanted to vent..
So this past weekend is a huge annual weekend for my college, ppl come all over to come drink insane amount of alcohol, basically.
So FH's best man and two of Best man's friends (roomates) come up for it and we went to one of my girlfriend's apts where she lives with two of my other friends. We weren't there long and then went down to the bars.
Long story short, my girlfriends wallet goes missing out of her purse- $50 cash, her ID and her credit card.
They had a few girls staying with them but none of us think they would have taken it, and none of them said they had taken it by accident. We looked through all their bags. They know me or FH or our best man would not have taken it. Naturally she asks me if the two guys who came with us would have taken it.
FH and I both didn't think they would, they are good guys but we asked best man and he swears they would never do that, and anyway she realized it was missing right when we were leaving so I checked them and they didn't have it.
We ripped the apt apart looking for it. So
A) one of the girls staying with them took it, highly doubtful,
B) it is in the apartment somehwere ridiculous, although we looked EVERYWHERE even the garbages,
C) one of our guys SOMEHOW took it even though her purse was in the middle of the the living room where everyone was the entire time, AND neither of them had it when I checked their pockets
D) one of my friends' brother was over for a few minutes so he could have taken it but they don't think he would do it either.
FH and I both talked to her that we really don't see how our guys could have taken it but I know that my friends think they did :( and I don't even blame them, the situation is so weird it really just disappeared. I would be suspicious of random guys I didn't know either. I'm just so upset I feel awful and I don't want them thinking we brought assholes to their house that robbed them. I've had a knot in my stomach all day.
This happened Sat and it still hasn't turned up :(
