NWR: FH has finally

agreed with me that its time for him to quit smoking!! I will be smoke free in march for 3 years. I quit cold turkey and have been trying to get him to quit but you know its when your ready to quit that you can actually do it...He is getting sick of it and feels just like i did when i decided to quit!!

I also have told him he will not be allowed to smoke in our house or hold our children if he continues

but we called 311 last night and they will be sending him a 2 week supply of the patches

Fingers crossed that fh finally quits

my fiance quit years ago and i couldn't be happier

thanks ladies!! it took me getting sick to quit so now that hes feeling the same way and is digusted its time and that makes me happy to know that we will both be smoke free. I hate when i come home smelling like him i get so annoyed and tell him all the time that he has to quit that since i have not touched one or have any desire to that i dont think its right that i suffer and stink like smoke it was like for almost 3 years now

Good for you! We were supposed to quit but he never offically did So I have been smoking like one a day, figure it's better then 6. I am not a heavy smoker and it's more social but I hate it!

i had to i got sick and was always sick from it so i said let me clean out my system before i plan on having kids...

that should be your incentive

Fh quit cold turkey about 2 weeks ago and is still going through his little nicotine fits but it is SOOOOO great for him!! unfortunatly i quit for a week and now i am back... i dont smoke in my house but i found it too difficult for both of us to stop at the same time... We had been fighting like NEVER before ( we have been dating for almost 9 years) and i just feel that once he has really kicked the habit and isnt so nasty to me, i will quit too....

I WILL quit by the wedding i just couldnt do it at the same time as him...

It's gonna be hard @ first but once they get it all out the will realize it's just so gross..tell ur fh good job & to keep @ it!!

I totally understand!! Just make sure you stick to it you will feel like a new person
