My hair is at the point that it needs SERIOUS HELP! Where do you find new hairstyles/cuts!

I go to magazines or search online lol About 6 months ago, I had a HORRIBLE haircut. I am not really prissy, girly girly, so I just went to the JcPenney Salon. I figured how hard could it be to give me a sideswept bang. The girl totally butchered my hair. I wound up going to a high end salon and he fixed it for me.
I would go to a well known salon and print out some ideas online and speak with them and see what they can do for you. I went to MetroModes on long island.
