NWR-Fitness ?

NWR-Fitness ?

What exercise should I be using to tone my inner thighs? I started doing spinning about 3 weeks ago and I also run 2x during the week.
I don't want to lose weight just want to tone my inner thighs so that I don't feel them rubbing against each other.

Use the machine at the gym that looks like a gyno chair where you have to squeeze your legs together. That one is killer, but definitely tones the inner thighs. You can also use a stretchy band and do reverse leg lifts, that will also tone the same muscles!

Umm be careful because i just found out that spin can damage your knee...you can do lungs with weights ...they work the best!

When using this, should I do more repetition or heavier weights?

I would do kickboxing. It tones your legs very well. Right now I'm doing the Jillian Michaels Boost your Metabolism workout every other night, this workout focuses alot on kickboxing, and jogging the nights in between. I'm seeing a big difference in my legs

If you just want to tone, do lighter weight with more reps. If you are looking more to build up more muscles then do heavier weights, less reps! My trainer has me do 3 sets of 20 reps each on a lighter weight than my max, but boy does that do the trick!

I believe that that actual machine is called a leg spreader lol. If you are going to use it make sure you have pants on and not shorts lol ...but it works

THIS nothing's worse than trying to do it in shorts, especially because it's along a high traffic path in my gym

Spin will only damage your knees if you don't have the bike seat positioned right. As long as you have a slight bend in your knees you will be fine! Spin is a VERY low impact exercise...you have a better chance injuring your knees running :)

its impossible to spot reduce a specific part of your body. Some people store fat in greater amounts in different parts of the body than other people. However, anything to do with the legs, Squats are the best. There are many varieties of squats (single leg, split squat, wall squats) to keep it interesting. Lunges are great too. The abductor/adductor machines are good, but not as good as squats & lunges.
Weights and reps are up to you. Its ok to do light/high rep one day, heavy/low rep another day. As long as your legs feel tired, your fine.
Always warm up before leg workouts. Dont want to pull something.
