NWR: Flying on thursday and already having panick attacks!

Ladies,
I'm flying to North carolina thursday night with FH to see my sis, and I am PETRIFIED to fly. This will be my fourth flight.....Do you think my doc will prescribe XXanax? I know it's hard to come by these days...I hate to take anything, but this time, I may need it. The anxiety is getting worse as I get older.

you can ask your doc if you can get something to make you relax a bit.... but dont worry you will be fine. i used to be the same as you, afraid of flying! then i got a job that required me to travel A LOT so i kinda overcame my fear over time... enjoy your time in NC!

You can usually get valium or xanax from your dr if it's just for a temporary flight. My dad takes valium before he goes on planes and he gets it from his regular doc...not a psychiatrist or anything. It's always safe to ask. If not, the dramamine is a good idea. Also, tylanol pm and benadryl will both put you out. Good luck! Have fun!

Without a doubt. They do it all the time.
