Oh I don't doubt that. It's just so much money. I can't imagine that people pay those prices. I just moved from my studio apartment in Staten Island for $350 a month. LOL!

My friend used to live in this community. They were there for about 2 years. They recently bought a house. The community is really nice though and the apartment was spacious.

Are you serious? I feel your pain. Manhattan prices I understand, but Long Island? I am surprised.

I lived in Washington Heights in a 3BR, 1Ba apartment and the rent was only $850. But that was a few years ago and it was washington heights

Yeah, FH and I decided we had to give up on our dream of a 10 minute commute !! - Oh well !! we'll just keep giving our $$$ to LIRR !! - And least you get SPACE for your $$ when you rent on LI -

Sad but true that if you want to live in a building in LI, you're going to pay a lot (in my experience). We pay over $1600 for a 1 bedroom in Mineola and a lot of that price has to do with the fact that it's less than a 5 minute walk to the train. No pool, no washer/dryer in the apt.

Wow! And to think, for $100 more you can have 2BR and a pool and yoga. LOL! Thinking of moving?
