ok, i figure the teachers will read this, and i dont want to make it it's own post -- BUT, im a teacher in need of a job! elementary. i graduated with my masters last may, and spent last year as a 'super sub' in syosset (had 3 long term leave replacements which took up most of the year). i am so frustrated bc i am really so qualified and a darn good teacher and for some reason i cant land a job!! [not for anything, but i got my masters at teachers college (columbia university)]. ANYWAY, my point being, if any of you could offer any help i'd REALLY appreciate it. if you wanna send forum email that'd be great. thank you!!!

Thank you! My FH and I are moving to Chicago where I'll finally have my own 4th grade classroom. Those sites will come in really handy for planning

I'm going to come back later to give you all a full report of my 8/2 wedding at the Carlyle, but for now I wanted to share some good teacher news. I got hired the day after we got back from our honeymoon in the William Floyd School District. I'm now teacher 4th grade!! Best of luck to all who are looking for a teaching job, and for those who will be starting soon... happy September!

Congrats on the new job, and of course your new marriage!! And good luck preparing for the ELA - although the test prep is a pain, 4th grade has such a great curriculum!!!
