Re: NWR- for those who are teachers

Congrats Heather on your marriage and of course, the new job!

I am starting a new teaching position this September as well, 6th grade! I'm excited yet, extremely nervous!!!

Good Luck!

Re: NWR- for those who are teachers

I'm in the same situation as Miro. I am also in desperate need of a teaching position in Queens. I have my MA and can't seem to find a job either. This week is my last hope to land something. I'm getting really stressed out about this. I have been subbing during that last school year, but I need a f/t job with benefits. Anyone that has info. please let me know. Thanx!

J&A and other teachers

I taught 6th grade for three years upstate and I LOVED it! I was so sad to leave. If you need naything let me know I have tons of resources.

Because I'm new to LI, I need some recommendations on teacher stores in Suffolk.
Thanks for all of your well wishes, I'm going to need that support at ELA time! Forth grade would not be my first choice, but I feel so blessed to have a job. Teaching is my passion, and I was not looking forward to going backwards to sub again.

Re: J&A and other teachers

Suffolk County teacher stores...The only one I know of is in Smithtown. If your heading west on 25, go throught the town itself, and its up on the left in a mini strip mall near a boat store??

I hear you about test pressure, I teach 8th grade science, so I am getting most of my kids ready for the state exam, while the rest are getting ready for their first regents!!

Good luck, let me know if I can help out with anything
