How long did the day of closing take? We are closing (as of now) on friday and want to know how long the actual closing meeting takes. I am soooo nervous. butterflies have taken over my stomach.
eta: sooo I got a call from FH...the bank 'forgot' to do their own inspection and now we can't close for another week or so..

Re: NWR-for you home owners
Just a couple hours......
ETA: but our whole buying process was a disaster. There were two sellers of the house that didn't want to talk to each other.........

Re: NWR-for you home owners
i know my law firm schedules closings for every 2 hours (930, 1130, 130 and 330) and it's usually not a problem... i'd say on average 1.5 hours.

ours was pretty quick i think we actually did it in just under 1.5 hours! bring a good pen and some motrin (all the stress of the seeing all the $$$ on paper gave me a headache, )

Re: NWR-for you home owners
we were there for 2 hours signing the papers, but I think for us it went a little longer because we were buying the house from people FH's knew so they were talking for a while and the lady at the mortgage company was someone FH knew also so that was more talking going on

Re: NWR-for you home owners
If everyone has their $h!t together 1.5 maybe 2 hours. We own more than one house. Our second closing went 3.5 hours because the bank lawer was a moron! It is a bit of a pain in the a$$, well worth doing. You really can't go wrong owning real estate. Good luck!
