NWR: Fresh Direct

Has anyone used this service for food deliveries? FH and I are curious to know how it works (time wise) and the quality of food. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

TIA

Re: NWR: Fresh Direct

We have Waldbaums deliver all of our groceries, and it's GREAT. They always give a 3 hour time frame for delivery that you choose, but htey are always there within the first 15 minutes.

I even order meat and produce from them and they do a great job selecting it.

With FH and I both working long hours and commuting, it saves us a lot of time!

I haven't used them (b/c everytime I go to order online it says they do not deliver to me) but many of my 'city' friends have and they LOVE it. They rave about the freshness and how great the prices are. They have a factory in LIC and next time I am in Queens visiting Grandma I am going to place an order and pick it up from there!

We use them every week. Saves so much time, and money (no impulse buys). The only thing is if they don't have something you don't find out until your order gets there which can be annoying.

Quality of everything is good.

Ok good! Thank you so much for responding! I hate food shopping while living in NYC. I'm sick of that granny cart thingy too.

I actually ordered from them the other day! The delivery arrives tomorrow night. I'm excited!

We LOVE fresh direct!
The prices and quality of their food are infinitely better than any supermarket near us (gristedes, food emporium). Occasionally we'll get something that's broken, but if you call their 800 #, they'll issue you a credit for your next purchase. I highly recommend them!

Love fresh direct!! They don't have the best grocery, but their meat, fruit/vegetables are awesome. I usually have to supplement a little at Key Food, but its so nice having the groceries delivered right to my door!!

The way the delivery works is you choose a day and time slot of 2 hours for your delivery. They will deliver all the way up to 11:30 pm on a weeknight.

I did! Everything is fresh and neatly packaged...even the cold cuts! It is kind of pricy though. But if you really dont have time to do the shopping then go for it!
