Re: NWR---furniture
What's your price range? What type of style do you like--traditional, contemporary, etc?
Re: NWR---furniture
Straigt From the Crate has lots of stuff and their prices are pretty good. There are a bunch in the city.. Two that I know of are on 61st and 1st and 23rd b/t 5th and 6th.
Re: NWR---furniture
I dont want it to be too expensive because we are only going to stay in our apartment for about 2 max 3 years but I dont want cheap furniture either. I know crate and barrel, pottery barn, ikea but I was wondering if I was missing any major stores that I should do a search on to compare looks and prices. I am not sure what look we are going for yet.
Re: NWR---furniture
Levitz, Seamans..they often have great sales!
Re: NWR---furniture
There's a Seaman's outlet on Glen Cove Road in Carle Place (along with a number of other furniture stores) and sometimes they have great stuff. I got a chaise lounge there for about $120 and the only thing wrong with it was a small tear on the arm that my mother fixed in 5 minutes. I also got my couch there (brown chenille), which is SO comfy for about $200. You also might want to check out the Door Store. They have a lot of nice contemporary furniture. I really wanted to get our bedroom set there, but I didn't think the wood was of the best quality--but just for the set we wanted. Hope this helps!
Re: NWR---furniture
We just bought our couch from Furniture Now on Rt. 110 in Farmingdale. They seem to have nice, well made furniture and we had no problems with them.
