NWR: Gary Carter

As a die-hard Mets fan, his passing is really affecting me. Seems like he's the first celebrity in a long time whose death isn't due to drugs, either. I want to get tickets for Opening Day, they should have something for him on that day.

I found out late last night. Very sad...this is a person who should be honored with flags at half staff. So sad!

This is very sad news for MLB in general. He was a great athlete and a role model for all kids!! RIP

This exactly! I was very sad to hear this. Hmmm I was thinking of possibly going to Opening Day as well.

There is a website selling very nice t-shirts in his honor and all proceeds (100%) will be going to Gary Carter's charity. FH is a die-hard Carter fan. I was lucky enough to have met him once for an autograph but FH never got the chance.
