NWR: gift for FH's teacher mentor

I need some ideas and help. FH just told me he wants to get his mentor a gift since she helped him out so much this school year with his classes.

What do you get a woman in her mid 30s as a thank you gift? He doesnt want to get her a gift card he says thats a cop out from getting a nice gift.....

any ideas? I was all for the gift card but he shot me down

and of course he leaves this up to me bc he is challenged when it comes to gift buying.

1. a nice bottle of wine (santa margharita pinot grigio is always nice)
2. Something from Vera Bradley
3. A nice pin (for a blazer collar)
4. A Coach wristlet
5. A pretty silk scarf

thats all i got......if its a personal type item get a gift reciept......sometimes what others think is beautiful just isnt another persons taste =)

Earings?? Bracelet?? You can always get something nice at a reasonable price in Macys! My mom works there and she is always coming home with that kinda stuff and she'll play like $20 for a nice bracelet!! Check out the 'Fine Jewelry' section in Macy's

How much is he looking to spend?

Papyrus in Roosevelt Field always has nice stationery and note cards. Those could be useful for a teacher sending notes home to parents.

If she's a tea drinker or coffee drinker, a nice travel mug could be useful.

Things Remembered always has nice things. He could get her a pen engraved with her name or initials.

maybe something teaching related...go into any teacher store and see what they have that the mentor might want (dry erase board, markers, some kinda organizer, books on whatever grade shes teaching etc...)

As a female teacher, I would LOVE a nice stationary set. I'd definitely recommend this!
