NWR - going back to work tomorrow - vent

I've been out for almost 4 weeks after foot surgery and I still can't walk without crutches. My manager called me today and asked if I could come in tomorrow as a 'test run' for the next 2 weeks (until I can walk again). I'm upset that I agreed to it and I really don't want to go back again until I can walk!!! I can't wait to leave when I start nursing school!!!!!!!

no, thank goodness! I'm in finance - I can sit at my desk all day. My challenge is getting there, keeping my foot elevated, and it's harder to shower now that I can't get my foot wet... I'd much rather wait until I can take a full and proper shower before I return to the office LOLLLL

I agree...can you get your doctor to send in something to your manager that says you can't walk and he's not releasing you to go back to work?

My orthopedic surgeon did it for me when I had arthroscopic surgery on my right knee three years ago so I could avoid commuting on the LIRR during the winter.

And my oncologist just sent in paperwork to my company that said I won't be coming back to work anytime before 3/1/08 -- even if I don't need anymore treatment.
