Hey ladies, I have been losing my hair for the last few years. First I figured it was college stress, then wedding planning stress. For the wedding I had a little bit of hair and decided to do brazillian extensions since my own wouldn't grow. I was told this was the best method to get the look I wanted because it wouldn't hurt ur hair like other types of extensions. I have taken out my extensions today and have realized I have like maybe 3 strands left. I don't know what to do. I have never had such a small amount of hair. I've lost almost all of it!
HELP ME LADIES!! What can I do? Suggestions for professional treatments? Home remedies? I'll try anything!!!!

I know this seems obvious, but have you asked a doctor?

crashing. My MoH is a very religious Jew. After she got married she started wearing a Sheitel, it's like a very fancy wig. It is 100% human hair that was dyed and cut to match her hair. If you didn't know she wore one, you would think it was her real hair. It was far from cheap (at least a couple of grand). However, she looks BEAUTIFUL with it on. Might be worth checking out

I would go talk to a doctor - my sister was loosing her hair after she gave birth, and went to a doctor and found out she was missing certain vitamins. It's worth a shot! I know Biotin is one of the pills she was taking.

It could be alpoecia--- my first suggestion is to make an appointment with a dermatologist. They will be able to do some patch tests and refer you from there.
Hope this helps!!!
Try not to be down !!!! Im sure you will get some answers when you start going to the doctor,

I'm in agreement: see a doctor.
Never let anyone tell you that any extensions are not damaging. They all are, just at varying levels (I'm not including clip-ins in this statement).

Get BIOTIN!
Last year I was under a lot of stress due to getting laid off and losing 4 ppl (two grandfathers and two friends) in a matter of 6 months. My hair just started thinning out and breaking. I started taking Biotin from the recommendation of my hairdresser and my hair really improved.

I definitely recommend seeing a doctor and maybe having blood work done. I lost a lot of weight a few years ago and lost a lot of hair in the process. My doctor told me to watch my protein intake and take Biotin supplements. Some people don't notice a difference but it helped me. Even my eyelashes grew! Feel better!

Was the hair coming out in clumps or just a few strands at a time?? Like 10 years ago i lost a patch of hair out of nowhere and it was alopecia - I went to a dermatologist and they gave me injections in the spot and the hair grew back fast!
good luck, and hang in there!!!

The hair doesn't necessarily fall out in clumps but it does fall out in large amounts. When i wash it, when i come it out, even when i run my fingers through them I'm desperate and need a solution NOW!

Re: NWR ... GOING BALD ... DESPERATE FOR HELP!!!
Sweetie I am going thru the same thing. I started losing a lot of hair about a year ago. I take vitamins regualary, I tried biotin, I tried special shampoos, I stopped using certain products thinking that was the cause, and although my hair falls out slighlty less now, I feel like my hair is a lot thinner. I recently looked at my hair and realized I had about half of the amount of hair I used to have. Its a terrible feeling and its really scary. I finally made an appointment with a dermatoligist next week. Ill update you if she tells me anything that may help.

Have you had your thyrpod checked? I would start there. However, the AMOUNT you're losing seems liek alopecia.

Yuli,
Besides seeing a dr.
I take biotin and it DOES make a difference but AFTER 6 weeks..you have to take it religiously. Also, try Nioxin...google that and read up on it...

Sorry chica, something like this happened to a coworker. She was getting injections and then started taking omega3. She said the omega3 worked for her and helped the hair grow back so she was able to stop the injections.

I hope you go to a doctor. I too have recently been losing some hair and went to the doctor. The doctor did a bunch of blood tests and it turns out he thinks I have lupus.

DOCTOR
my niece, my SIL, and my girlfriend all had something called
for my SIL and my girlfriend it was just pieces of hair. patches that fell off
for my niece... it was all of her hair she may never get it back and has to wear wigs
it can vary from person to person, BUT THERE IS TREATMENT
I would go to the doctor. make sure it's not alopecia
