Has anyone ever sold their gold to a jeweler before? I was going through my old jewelry last night and I have a lot of broken chains & gold items I never wear anymore (I went through a charm necklace stage when I was young!) I don’t know what to do with them, and I’m always weary of those pawn shops with “WE BUY YOUR GOLD” signs out front. Suggestions? TIA!!

Re: NWR: Gold?
yes, I have! I used Jenna's Jewelers in Deer Park on DPA. You can sell it anywhere since Gold is sold per ounce, and the rate should be close or exact from one place to another.
I took all my spending money to Chicago a few yrs ago from selling gold!

I can't vouch for their service, but a friend of mine recently sold some old jewelry at a kiosk in Walt Whitman Mall. I was with her and to me (and her), it seemed like she got quite a bit of $$$ for not a whole lot of jewelry (About $350!) . We were both pretty amazed at how much she got. The guy has a sign posted saying how much they pay per gram for different kinds of gold (10k, 14k etc).
