NWR: Good spaghetti recipe

Does anyone have a proven good spaghetti recipe that you don't mind sharing??

I usually make up my spaghetti recipe and lately it's been getting worse and worse I thought it may be time to actually follow a recipe!!

TIA!!

Re: NWR: Good spaghetti recipe

Here's mine, I put meatballs and sausage in it.

HTH

1/3 cup olive oil
3 cloves of garlic, halved
1/2 medium onion, chopped
2 28 oz cans of plum tomatoes with puree, crushed
2 basil leaves
1/2 teaspoon oregano
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup of water

Heat olive oil in a heavy pot over medium heat.
Add garlic and onion and cook until onion is translucent.
Add tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt & pepper and water.
Bring to a boil then lower heat to a simmer.
Simmer for 45 minutes then add meatballs.
Continue simmering for another 1/2 hour.

sautee onions and parsley in a bit of olive oil
add 2 large cans of crushed tomatoes
fill an empty can with white wine and add
1 small can of tomatoe paste
a decent helping of parm cheese

(i dont add garlic b/c im allergic but you def could)

simmer for HOURS!!! let it thicken and enjoy.

i also dont eat red meat so i make chicken meat balls and let them cook in the sauce. yummy!
