Im currently in grad school at Hofstra with a dual major in early childhood special ed and literacy. Its a great school, but it is expensive. But I had a friend who went to hofstra and her sister went to queens they were taking the same classes but her sister at queens had a lot more work

my friend just got her masters in special ed and literacy as well. She went to queens. Cheaper-- she already has tenur so the school wasnt going to matter!

Id go with QC for the money. No one cares about the school name for your masters in ed. Plus its my old alma mater

I went to Queens for my masters in ESL...it was a really good school. Plus it's a lot less than Hofstra...more $$ for your wedding and HM!! ![]()

Definitely Queens!!! I'm currently in the School Psych grad program there and for the price and the recognition that the school has, it's def. worth it. Hofstra is great! but sooooooo expensive!

I work at Queens College and they do have an Excellent Program in Elem. Ed. I know a few girls who have graduated from the program - & they loved the program!!

Save your money, go to Queens! If I was closer to Queens I would have gone their instead of Hofstra. Loans=![]()

I'd go to with QC just to save some money. I think they are like $4000 a semester which will save you all that debt in the long run. I do think that depending on the field employers do pay attention to the name of the school unfortunately, but I think for ed, you should be fine. I think a CUNY degree is just as comparable to a private education. I work for CUNY and I hear nothing but great things about QC, especially.

Thanks ladies, im still waiting to hear back from Queens College, i just graduated from there 2 weeks ago. so im praying to get into Queens for grad school as well. Hofstra is verrry expensive....i agree.
