Hi all! Has anyone taken the GRE exam before? I am looking for a class to help study for the exam and need some advice. Thank you!

Re: NWR - GRE Test Prep
i took it before i went into grad school.
i actually didn't take a class but i bought 2 review books. Princeton Review and Kaplan. both were really good. I used those and studied for myself for a while before the test. I gave myself the computer practices tests (discs come with books) along the way to see how i was doing. this worked for me..i did well on the gre. Just have to make sure you really make time to study.

I took it before, but it was a VERYlong time ago... I'll look through my stuff and see if I can find the study material I used... they were very helpful... I'll let you know if I find anything...

Re: NWR - GRE Test Prep
I have. I've taken the general and the Psych GRE.
I took the Kaplan in-class course at St. John's for the General GRE. It's basically giving you test taking tips.
I took the GRE once back in.... 01' and I took it again last March. I took the GRE prep for the 2nd test and it wasn't worth it. The only good thing is that it Forced me to study since we had 'hw' to do. If your able to study on your own and can keep to a strict schedule then don't take the GRE course.

Re: NWR - GRE Test Prep
I did take Kaplan, I think, before I took the exam years ago . . . it really helped. I need to learn how to take the exam, not necessarily the subject matter, and it forced me to dedicate a certain amount of time every week to taking the test.

Thanks all. I am not disciplined enough to study on my own unfortunately. So, I'm looking for a class to light a fire under my butt!
