NWR--Gym/weight loss motivation question

Hi Girls,

So I've been doing WW since July, and have lost almost 15 pounds, which is really exciting. Lately, however, I just have NO motivation. I'm sticking to my points really out of habit, but when we go out and stuff, I just don't have any desire to count points.

Also, neither FH nor I have been into the gym lately. We go and we are just SO bored. Unfortunately, most of the classes don't fit into my schedule, so I'm stuck doing regular old cardio. How do you keep yourselves motivated?

I'm running a 5K in November around the warning track of Yankee Stadium (so exciting!), and I'm starting the WW running plan for that today after school, but I'm just so not into it!

Any help?!

TIA!

- Make a new playlist for your ipod with songs that will puuuuuump you uuuuuup.
- Try new foods. With WW I occasionally get in a rut when it comes to food - same foods over and over. Branch out a bit, try new recipes.
- Think of the things that were a struggle 15 pounds ago: climbing the stairs, running across the street, etc. THAT right there is motivation to keep it up!
- Do activities that don't seem like exercise...play on the swings in a playground, go into the city on a weekend day and walk around for hours, play frisbee, stuff like that. Take advantage of the autumn weather before it becomes too cold to bear being outside.

ETA: Congrats on your weight loss!

Get a Nike + for your ipod. I used it to train for a half-marathon this past spring and it gave me so much motivation.

I won't run without it now.

same here. completely lost motivation after losing 30 lbs. i did it all without exercise so how do you think i feel about exercising?

for the 1st time i jumped on the eliptical for 10 mins last night just to go get weighed in at WW and gain wieght. i actually expected it but am still dissapointed.

i even asked for a gym membership for xmas.

weekends are like no holds barred when it comes to food too. i think we need Laura help here

That's exactly how I feel! I lost all of my weight with no real exercise, so I just can't get up the motivation to go. But I like the way I feel when I exercise, and I need to get toned. It's just so hard to push through.

And forget about the weekends--it's like I don't even remember what points are!

HELP LAURA!

Have you guys tried Core, the other WW program? I can't do the Points thing; I just get too frustrated and hungry and I cannot get in my Good Health Guidelines on my low amount of points. Core makes that all so much easier for me.

I don't have that kind of will power--I like that the points keeps me accountable. Otherwise I'd lie and say that strawberry ice cream was a serving of strawberries.

I just need to get my *** back in gear. FH just cancelled on the gym and I definitely thought about skipping it myself to go get my nails done, but I think I'm going to go...my butt will be there at 6!!

I'm in the same boat as you!! I've been on WW since July and I am hitting a rough spot right now! I am sooo tired with work to get to the gym!

I think kris said some of these already- but change your food routine!! i get soo bored if i eat the same foods over again. go on the message boards on WW.com and you'll see so many food ideas.

look at your before pics- to me thats motivation.

put new songs on your ipod. sometimes i wanna go to the gym JUST to listen to my ipod lol.

i lost 56 lbs on WW....and i was able to do it not counting points on the weekends. so mon-fri you should be ok if you stick with it. let yourself induldge on sat-sun.

OK, so I went to the gym, got to the lockerroom and realized I didn't have a sports bra or socks

But I DID go grocery shopping to get lots of healthy stuff!

And I'm going to go tomorrow--even if I have to go braless and sockless!!

i always keep an extra sports bra and pair of socks in my gym bag...just in case. i usually forget everything when i go to the gym after work.
im trying to avoid that from now on.
