NWR - Hair RAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Girls -
I just wanted to share my Brazilian Keratene experience with you. I have fairly course naturally curly hair, that is IMPOSSIBLE to deal with in the heat and humidity. My mom is a hair dresser and I have tried EVERYTHING that has been out on the market so far. I tried that Japanese straightening TWICE and it didnt work well on me. I tried Mane tamer and while it was definitely an improvement, it still wasnt great.
Well..............I recently tried that new brazilian thing that is out and I am SOOOOOOOO happy with the results. Its completely chemical free and my hair is now SO soft and manageable. What used to take 45 minutes to blow out straight (only to be a total mess of frizz and kinks once I walked outside of the a/c) is now a 15-20 minute job that lasts for days. And absolutely ZERO frizz. Keep in mind that my hair is really thick - which is why it took so long in the first place.
I was really worried about my hair this summer b/c my friends wedding is coming up and I'm a BM and her RH is on the water and I knew my hair would be out of control.
Just an FYI for anyone out there who was thinking about doing this, just a few pointers:
1. DONT go to the places that use the product that has formeldahyde in it. Only the Keratene one is 100% chemical free.
2. This is NOT a straightening process. You will still need to blow your hair straight . Although you do need to leave your hair flat ironed straight for 3-4 days before washing. I still have my curls but they are softer and much much much more manageable.
3. Don't be discouraged if you are told you can't put your hair up for those 3-4 days. I was able to clip it up to wash my face and wrap it up in a towel to shower and my process still came out great.
4. This process is not permanent. Depending on how often you wash your hair and how well you maintain it (they have a special shampoo and conditioner that is meant to maintain the keratene in your hair), it washes out in anywhere from 4-6 months. So you dont have to wait for it to grow out.
For those of you with hair like mine - I'm sure you can appreciate this post. I am just SO happy with how my hair came out that I have been raving about it to everyone and I figured I would share it with other brides to be who suffer from the same hair complex that I do
Feel free to FM me if you have any questions or comments!!![]()
