Re: NWR: Hamptons Restaurant

I don't know exactly what area you will be in but Trumpets on the Bay in Eastport is nice. The Stone creek inn in East Quogue is one of my favorites out there. I wasn't as thrilled with Tierra Mar. HTH

not at all! $30 PP is reasonable for a nice dinner.

Re: NWR: Hamptons Restaurant

In Montauk there is the Harvest Restaurant (www.harvest2000.com) which is very nice and on the Montauk pond (great sunsets). It is a family style restaurant with big portions and they have great seafood! There is also Gosmans Restaurant which overlooks the boats coming in on the water. Also ENE is also very good and family style portions as well.

East Hampton... The Palm, which can be pricey but has great steak ($36 for a 16 oz steak... worth it)!!! The Palm is a personal favorite of mine and my FH!!! A local favorite is Nichols but its not a fancy place. Great food though and the prices are rather cheap for East Hampton ($15-22 an entree). But they also have quesadillas & hamburgers as well.

What else....??

In east hampton there is also Dellafeminas which is always good. Saracen in East Hampton is also very nice and i love the inside of the restaurant. It's very modern and unique for East Hampton (although i'm bias because thats where i'm having my RD... FH loves the lobster ravioli there). It depends on what kind of food you're looking for.... seafood, italian, burgers, steak, etc. Personally, i'm not a fan of Tierra Mar in Westhampton. Great location, but didn't love the food.

I love Saracen and Red Bar. Both can get pricey though.

Re: NWR: Hamptons Restaurant

If you go on a Sunday for an early dinner you can find that some places offer a prix fixe. I don't remember off the top of my head which ones, but if you want I can ask a coworker (but not until Thursday...if they are in the office). FM if you would like me to find out.

All of the above are the best out here IMO. Another one to check out is American Hotel in Sag Harbor which is really $$ but SO good. But Ali hit it on the head... you can't go wrong at any of those places! Have a great time

Re: NWR: Hamptons Restaurant

East by Northeast in Montauk is nice too...great food and gorgeous decor. LOVE the American Hotel but it is rather pricy. Cheaper but tasty and cozy is Il Capuccino in Sag Harbor (a bit busy though). We also LOVE Pacific East in Amagansett. Delicious food and also a beautiful space. Have fun!
