NWR Haunted houses....

not sure if this is where this would go but anyway does anyone go to haunted houses? I love Halloween and can't wait to start going. especially after seeing the Bayville screampark commercials.

I'm starting with headless horseman upstate this weekend for my birthday. which is so awesome and def worth the like 2 hour drive to get there lol.

me and FH's love of Halloween made us have to get married in October.

I am so utterly depressed that i will be on my OBGYN rotation during the month of Oct!!! That is one of the most demanding specialties and i wont be able to so ANYTHING for my favorite holiday of all time!!!!!!!

awww. that does suck I can't even imagine. I am already harassing all my friends to go lol. if it was up to me I'd be going to places in PA too like the terror behind the walls, bates motel, shocktoberfest, etc. but my friends aren't nuts like me and are like what 2 hrs to a haunted house? i'm lucky it's my bday month so I can be like come on but it's my bday..... lol. still though most will only agree to bayville.

you don't get any free nights? I know sooner to halloween Bayville is open like every night.

Word on the street is you work 6 days a week, 12 hour shifts while on the rotation...i guess we will find out next month

aww. I'm obsessed with halloween and haunted houses. I went to the #1 haunted house last year in baton rouge according to the www.hauntworld.com website lol. my mom lives by new orleans though so I had a reason to be down there.... but still. the 13th gate was awesome but I had more fun at headless horseman last year. I can't wait toi go again sat.

Ive been to a couple of good ones upstate, dont remember the names to be honest.
I really wanna go to New Orleans and do all the voodoo tours etc!

My stupid profession sucks, i just want all of Oct off! lol

I went on the vampire tour like 2 yrs ago. me and FH wanted to go in AUgust but it was ilke 1000 degrees out. we were dripping with sweat. I probably would have fainted if we went on a tour. they have tons of tours where you meet up at the voodoo shop. it's awesome.

My fave on LI is the one next to the East Wind catering hall. Can't think of the name right now. Oh and Schmidts too!

I went to Bayville a few yrs ago and honestly, dissapointed :( I wonder if its worth it to try it again. But not sure if ill be able too. . Getting married Oct 1st then HM til Oct 16th!! U know how sick of a person I am?? I actually thought of that, that ill miss major haunted house time! Lol oh well ill always have the excuse of anniversary weekend! FH doesn't enjoy them as much as I do

I went to headless horseman last yr! we drove 2 hrs to get there lol. this yr we're gonna be in woodstock on sat so it's only 30 mins from the house. I can't wait to go again. I went to 13th gate in Baton rouge, blood manor in nyc, and i've been to bayville before but haven't gone in like 2 yrs. I went to nightmare 2 yrs ago too.

near east wind I think you mean dark side? it's really sad I know where every single house is lol. I've been there too. thats a good place to go during the week it's like $15? or something like that. bayville isn't that scary but it's a fun thing to do. I really wanna go to bates motel, shocktoberfest, jasons something in pa, and terror behind the walls. I have haunted house saved from all over the country. you aren't the only sick person because I thought the same thing lol. I was like damn what weekend are we gonna go to houses in 2012?

next yr i'm hoping instead of august going down south (I always go in aug or oct to seee my mom for my bday) but i'm hoping to go oct next yr and go to house of shock which is the guys from pantera? or whatever. and the mortuary is in new orleans.

so yeah I'm really really obsessed lol. i'm lucky fh is into them. most of my ex's hated them. I like to think all the haunted houses start opening for my bday

I have to go to schmitts however you spell it. in melville! it's the one haunted house I never went to on long island.

Jason's woods was okay

The other one we went to twice was by a paper mill (I'll find out the name tomorrow if you like) this one was the best IMO. I think it was called The Haunted Mill

1 I have no idea because we stumbled another one. It was pretty good.
