My uncle just purchased through GHI, but pretty expensive. Just under $400. Are they eligible for Medicare/Medicaid.

You're looking at over $600 / month with a huge deductible. There aren't that many options, really. Google 'health insurance NY', and you'll get a page that lets you enter age and gender, it'll give you quotes for HIP, GHI, and whatever else is available.

First you need to see if they are eligible for Medicare due to their age. You can also check with AARP.

If they make under a certain amount of money you can check Healthy New York. They will give you information on affordable health care.

Private healthcare is crazy expensive. If they're not Medicare eligible I would look into managed healthcare plans like Health First, Suffolk Health Plan and Empire Family Health Plus.
