NWR: health question

Has anyone had an endolospy (sp?). FH is getting it today. He was looking at the paperwork and it said not to have aspirin 10 days before. He has taken aspirin every day this week for his back or headache. Now he is all worried.

I told him to just tell the dr and they wont do it and schedule it another day. DOes anyone know if this is a big deal?

Has anyone had an endo before?

Keep FH in your thoughts if you dont mind.

Has he been taking asprin or like a tylenol or advil? Two different things.

The reason they ask that they do not take asprin is b/c it thins out the blood. Tell him to talk to his doctor, b/c witht his type of provedure, it may be ok. That is how all pre-surgical rules go.

If he was taking tylenol, he is fine...

They're worried that if they snip any polyps or growths, with aspirin, the bleeding is slower to stop. Tell him to be 100% honest with the doc. It may be no big deal...
