Just needing to vent. Does anybody else have headache issues?? I get them alllll the time. I take Excedrin close to everyday. I dont know if its the weather (heat, humidity, alltergies) or tension or what, but its so frustrating! I've had blood work done and there's nothing wrong. They say some people just get them more than others. Anybody else deal with headaches, or have any remedies I could try other than Excedrin or pills???

Re: NWR: Help!
is it like a migraine or a tension headache? do you know what triggers them? like maybe noise, lack of sleep, bright light(its been sunny and hot lately!), certain foods, bad posture when sitting down, time of the month...maybe if you find the trigger you can stop then before they come.

Re: NWR: Help!
this is probably gonna sound silly- but you might just be dehydrated- most headache are from that & my doctor had told me at the first sign of a headache, drink a couple of glasses- it really does help
i think you are suppose to drink like 8 glasses a day.

Re: NWR: Help!
ok this might be TMI, but do you have any problems going to the bathroom...the number one cause of headaches is constipation. The toxins are all still in your body and it goes up your spine and that is why.
If not then do you have any trouble with your eyesight, alot of ppl who dont know they have to wear glasses, strain their eyes which causes headaches

I have the same issue and it's been going on for a couple of years. I get them so bad at times I can't even sleep because it's so painful. No over-the-counter crap works for me and they can't prescribe anything either. They aren't always migraines, thank God, but they are BAD! I went for physicals, blood work, MRI and CatScans...there's nothing wrong..just a chronic headache sufferer..lucky me, right? Hope you feel better.

I dont mean to knock anyones oppinions so please please dont take it that way ...but after checking with one of the docs I work for constipation does not directly cause headaches nor do the toxing travel up your spine.......I only comment because I read that to someone at work to asl their oppinion and she said she was going to try an ennema to treat her next headache and was serious......so I just wanted to point out that will not help a heaache and share the dittziness of my co worker with you all.......this time of year is allergies and sinuses.......
well its in a book, if you want i can write exactly what it says...after i read the book i paid attention and whenever i am constipated i do get headaches...and TMI but all our waste is toxins and its in our body.
The book i read was written by a doctor so i dont know what to tell you
Ill write word for word what it says later

Re: NWR: Help!
I never used to get bad headaches before until recently, they come and go, I think its from looking at the computer all day long, the lighting in my office bothers me and my eye so that may be a cause, maybe stress, the weather changing, when I dont drink coffee I get the worse headaches, do you drink coffee?, allergies def play a part, my Fh complained for a week straight about really bad headaches the doc told him it was stress and being tense and that its nothing, get yourself a message and take a vacation and you will be fine

LOL its not my opinion its the opinion of a doctor, i didnt come up with that. I read it in a book. I dont really sit around coming up for cures for things or trying to find out the solution to medical problems. Its not something just came to me.
Ill post when i get home the exact thing that is written in this book, its all about alpha and omega headaches. There are a couple of causes listed
After i read it i was very surprised and i did pay attention and every single time i am constipated is when i have a bad headache, and when i do finally go guess what my headache goes away, so for that fact i am gonna choose to believe what it says in the book. I do understand some doctors have different beliefs

This is defintely NOT an opinion..ANY doctor will tell you that consitpation causes headaches....it's common knowledge that when one part of your body isn't functioning correctly, it will somehow effect your major organs...

Re: NWR: Help!
Thanks for all your advice and suggestions girls! I think what I'm gonna do after reading all your posts is to keep a headache journal, and write down everything I did, everything I didnt do (namely, poop, haha), what I ate, the weather and all that stuff everytime I get a headache... maybe I can try to narrow it down!!

Re: NWR: Help!
Thank you kristina
Here is info i found on a website, i copied and pasted from there: read the last part about headaches and constipation
Definition Over ninety percent of all diseases and malfunctions of children's bodies (as with adults) stem from the unclean intestinal tract, constipation (Latin constipatio meaning crowding together), with infrequent or difficult evacuation of the feces, retention of the feces, and lack of coordination in the nerve and muscle functions of the colon and bowel. The mucusless diet will eventually clear the body of old fecal matter that has accumulated and become dehydrated and hard and cause so much trouble. Sometimes the body needs faster help than can be given with diet alone. The body of man must be kept clean inside and out, to perform his daily tasks efficiently and smoothly. This body is the housing of the spirit and operating force of life. With the spirit commanding a good clean structure, a smother, happier life is evident. The scriptures tell us that God will not dwell in an unclean tabernacle. We have been told that the body is a temple, or tabernacle of God. This structure must be kept in good repair, and clean, to be a comfortable abode. [HHH p.128]
Symptoms 1. A condition of peristaltic malfunction in the bowels wherein the fecal matter becomes condensed and compressed and the evacuations are infrequent and difficult. This condition is produced by our modern way of life--the eating of highly refined and demineralized foods instead of a plain and coarse diet, the strain and stress of rapid living, hastily eaten meals, and lack of exercise. When toxic waste matter is left to stagnate in the lower bowel tract, the system becomes polluted with poisonous gases which congest and irritate the surrounding organs, causing adhesions, and other ailments. A person should have bowel movements as often as regular meals are eaten. [SNH p.12] 2. Dizziness can be caused by constipation when pressure causes the nerves to become impinged. [SNH p.18] 3. Hives: The bowels must be cleared since the worse cases of hives can come from constipation. [SNH p.31] 4. Bronchitis: Constipation is one of the chief causes of the problem. [HHH p.42] 5. Diarrhea: It is the most severe form of constipation and should be dealt with immediately. [HHH p.63] 6. Headaches: Headaches can stem from several sources. Very common is the constipation headache, where compressed fecal matter presses on the nerves that affect the head. We have seen severe migraine headaches cured by taking a catnip enema. For longer-term relief, the lower bowel formula [Fen LB] can heal the bowel so that there is no constipation. [EWH p.146]

Re: NWR: Help!
I get really bad migranes alot. it's been for a few years. I actaully got hit by a softball during a game and got a fractured scull. After that I started getting migranes really bad and started going to a nuerologist and he put me on a headache preventative that i take everynight. It's called Topamax. I still get headaches but definately not as bad. You should definately see a nuerologist if it's bad. Oh and the Topamax also suppresses your appetight so I lost weight on it too!!!!!!

I get headaches and TERRIBLE migraines all the time. The only thing that works for me, believe it or not, is Advil Cold and Sinus (Which you have to buy behind the counter now, because apparently you can make Meth with it). The only other things that might work are heating pad, and, caffiene helps also. I will often drink a cup of coffee and it will help!

Re: NWR: Help!
ok im home now and looking through the book for some causes of headaches and also some things you can do to help. Theres alot of info in here so i will just take out small parts and write in here
Try and identify which type of headaches you have and that will help
Tension headaches: are the most common, they start when the muscles tighten in your head and neck, the press on blood vessels in your scalp.
Cluster headaches are extremely painful and isolated to one part of your head.
Migraines can last for hours and hour and may be cause by anything from food reactions to changes in barometric pressure.
throbbing pulsating headaches that are aggravated by high altitude, that get worse when you move your body and that subside when you rest are cause by constipation and an accumulation of toxins in the colon. (and in the book it says to try a plain warm water enema to relieve constipation) not suggesting you do it, but i know it was previously said that a co-worker said this and was thought to be ridiculous but it is one of many remedies. They also say that these type of headaches are accompanied by dehydration.
Shooting, burning, piercing, headaches that are worsened by bright light and associated with nausea, pain is often felt behind the eyes and the headache may be accompanied by dizziness, these headaches are connected to stomach problems.
If your headaches tend to occur in winter and spring, generally strike in the morning and evening and get worse when you bend down, these headaches are usually accompanied by sinus congestion or colds, and are symptons of hay fever and other allergies. The pain is usually dull and deep-seated and makes you feel drowsy.
another part of the book says 'the most common causes of headaches are constipation and liver malfunction.
