NWR- Help me with a winery itinerary :-)

Morning lovelies
I was at Martha Clara last weekend and asked for a VIP tasting (worth $200)...and they basically just HANDED me the certificate! Business must be rough!

Anyway, I worked with Royalty and we're getting stretch for May 2nd and hitting the wineries on the North Fork. We have 6 hours total, 3 of which will be travelling. I basically have 2 hours left after our time at Martha Clara...please suggest 2 or 3 of your MUST see vineyards.

None of the friends I am going with have been, I'm a fan of Dilibertos and Marcari but am thinking Duckwalk and Pindar? Help please !

The board wino is here to save the day!!!

My favorites to go to are Martha Clara, Pugliese, Osprey's Dominion, and Pindar.

Pugliese is a smaller winery that specializes in sweet table and sparkling wines made from white niagra grapes, the same grapes used in Welches white grape juice. So it's a dangerous wine...you don't realize you drank too much until it's WAY too late lol.

Martha Clara has a nice tasting room and just lots of nice fruity, girly wines. Definitely try the new one called Sabor, it's a white wine infused with pineapple and coconut, so it tastes like a Pina Colada.

Osprey's Dominion is my favorite to go to just based on the tasting room...it's massive, open, airy, beautiful. Lovely grounds as well. Can get very busy though.

Pindar is always packed, we don't go there too often because we buy their wine in the stores so it's not as much of a novelty anymore.

I would not recommend Bedell, they were extremely rude to us.

Raphael's is very beautiful, but the wine is just ok, a little harsh. Castello di Borghese is nice too, it's small, but the wine is ok. Nothing spectacular, but pretty good.

Hope that helped!

Steph- have a great time. Looks like a great itin

Ali- you rock! I was at Martha last Sunday and I bought 6 bottles of Sabor. 3 are gone- I WASN'T alone in this though! GREAT wine, so different and perfect for warm weather.

I'll add Raphael and Duck Walk to the intinerary....I will check out Pugliese on my own when I pick up my Wine Club wines at Macari in a few weeks. I WISH I lived closer Thanks for the feedback!

I gotta say...I LOVE wine! I've been to Napa like 5 times (just went for Valentine's) and have been wine tasting in Italy, France and Argentina....I didn't think Long Island would have the treasures that I discovered last weekend!

I LOVED it, great vibe and so unique...definitely not pretentious at all. I saw people bring their dogs, groups of friends. It was really nice! I joined Macari and Martha Clara's wine clubs and look forward to going out there next month (to take my Mom) and in May for the group outing.

Napa, please be sure to put Rubicon, Mondavi and Opus one on your list. There's so many others but in terms of beauty of the grounds and quality of the wines....these are outstanding. What a great honeymoon! Welcome to the Wine Club It's a great world and there's always so much to learn!

I highly recommend Sherwood House. ITs close to Martha Clara and so great. ITs outside so it might have to a be a day of decision cause if its raining it wont be good. THe people that run it are awesome and so laid back.
