NWR: help...job related...can't I just be a stay at home housewife???? (a little long winded)

Ok try and stay with me I might be all over the place....Well I think many of you knew I was looking for a job last November, well the job that I got (my current position) was supposed to be temporary (in my eyes)...kind of to help with my financial situation until I found a REAL job but the job hunting process was so stressful that I kind of settled with where I was instead of having to deal with looking again. Well I've just about had it I seriously can't deal with this place anymore I need to find a REAL job...something where I plan to be PERMANANTLY. I don't want to ever have to job search again this is taking so much out of me and I hate it and I'm getting into that little depressed mode If anyone knows of any positions open (eastern nassau or suffolk area) please FM me with details or any questions about my job you may have. And if you don't know of anything I could use some words of inspiration or wisdom...thanks

I think GinaZ does mostly NYC placement.

Seriously Melissa - contact a headhunter - Robert Half, Adecco, etc. It's NO cost to you! They help you with your resume. They want you to find a job because whomever hires you pays the agency - DEFINITELY get a headhunter!

Melissa I am right there with you. My uncle got me a job 2 years ago working at the Workers Comp Insurance Fund he works at.

I was and still am a student assistant temp position. I WANT TO GET THE HELL OUTTA HERE. The one thing though- they have been so accomodating with my school schedule these last 2 years. But now that I am not traveling into the city anymore and getting my Masters I believe I deserve a REAL JOB until I get my certification as a teacher.

I mean I want a job with benefits as well as paid vacation days!!! UGHHH Anyone wanna take my resume

I have 2 years experience as administrative assistant work as well as working directly for a district manager and receptionist experience

did you go to college locally? i know it sounds cheesy but you should call their career department. I got my current job with the government by going to a job fair. . . you can call and see if they are holding any alumni job fairs soon and check them out!

good luck!!

What are you looking for? I know my old company still hasn't found a replacement for me (although I would not wish that on my worst enemy) . My friend works at a car dealer ship & she is looking for an administrator.
