nwr - hobbies? ceramics anyone?

Original post by KarinAmanda

ok so ive been feeling kinda blah lately and i think its because i need to start doing more things that interest me ...

i dont really see to many of MY friends anymore, most live out of state so we always hang out with FH's friends (who are my friends too) but you know what i mean ...

i dont really play sports anymore and they were always a HUGE part of my life...

ive been in this funk for a while and its starting to bring me down in every aspect of my life! anyone else feel this way?

ive decided to try and do something for myself, something that interests me, will make me happy! in college i took some ceramics classes and i FELL IN LOVE with it. i was always artsy in HS - mainly mixed medias, oils, acrylics etc. Ceramics is a blast and its so rewarding.

Has anyone thoought about taking classes at night? Like ceramics, pottery, photo etc? I found a place in Dix Hills call the Art League of Long Island and they offer hundreds of classes! Would anyone be interested in classes this fall?

thanks for listening to my rant i just really need to make some changes in life - to start enjoying everything more and i think this would be a great outlet/destressor!

i just stopped doing college (going nights/working days etc) i am taking a few months off from school and after the wedding especially i am going to start doing photography clinics again, cooking classes possibly and i am taking on scrap booking as a new hobbie. I like to keep busy.

Art League is great and the Huntington area has tons of other things going on art wise big time.

I wish I could do something like that but With a 4yr old and soon a newborn, starting work again after my maternity leave and possibly going back to school in jan. I will hardly have time to breathe as it is.

I too have been feeling like I need to get into something...I have taken up knitting and sewing....I have started making dollhouse bedding, knitting up hats, scarves and stuff......i think on the wedding budget everyone will be getting homemade gifts this year if I don't sell them first!!!!
