wow i cant believe that. why is it that the ones that try to do the right thing always get a slap in the face?? sorry this is happening to you. i hope you get what you want for christmas. you deserve it. its not a selfish thing at all.

if it was i know i feel so bad for my mom she is doing so well with everything and then this last week everything is falling on her and her brother and sisters dont care and it is their mother too! you know! but what can you do...i just hope my mom makes it through the next month without having a nervous breakdown

i honestly want my mom's 2 sisters and her brother to grow the Fuuck up and start acting like a freaking family.

my nana has heart surgery and cant live on her own so my parents are taking her in. my dad at age 50 had to remorgage his house so he could add an extension onto the house for another bedroom for my Nana. And my mom has been taking care of her day in and day out for the last 4 months since her surgery. AND my mom's brothers and sisters are acting like 3 yr old. they dont want to help out when my mom asked one sister to take my nana for a weekend so my parents could enjoy the weekend without my nana since it was my dads birthday she flipped out saying she cant she has a life too and everything. UM hello my mom has 6 kids and we all but one live at home (1 is away at school) and my mom works full time nad takes care of my nana but NO ONE cares about that. and then her sisters and brother are mad at her now ebcause she isnt making an apt for my Nana my parents are only building a bedroom. UM hello an apt is expensive plus our town wont allow that bec we dont have a big enough land for it. but of course when it comes down to it everyone loves nana so much and would do anything for her buy they are all pissed at my mom and not talking to her and what makes it worse is my nana is mad at my mom for not talking to any of her siblings. my nana def has her favorite children and unfortunately my mom was never her fav...so

sorry for the whole vent i just feel awful for my mom she is emotionally and physically drained and would love a break! so if i could ask for anything for christmas it def would be that!

Catie I am so sorry you and your mom are going through this. I know how difficult it can be and we are the beginning stages of it with FH's grandmother and the termoil has already begun.

It takes a strong person to do what your parents are doing and hopefully everyone else will start to realize that too!

I asked my FIL's for a gift card to Nordstrom for all new make-up.

My parents will get us things off our registry.

I asked FH for either new Uggs, another North Face Jacket (they are my favorites)!

I got FH Play Station as a b-day/x-mas gift -- I can't wait to give it him on Wednesday. He is going to crap himself!

FH said he wants PS3 but its not cheap. his b-day is Friday. i was thinking a joint give but he has SOOOOOO many systems, he doesnt need another. i made the decision for him.
