Hi ladies, I know many of us are now venturing into the scary world of home ownership. I was wondering what company you are using for home owners insurance and if you dont mind sharing your quotes. Thanks so much!
We don't have a quote yet - but according to my mortgage guy it's partially based on what you pay for your house. We can expect to pay about $1,200 a year for homeowners based on our purchase price.

Whoah! We pay just over $800 a year. I'm sure it depends on value, location, size, and all that. We have a policy through a company called Mercury but we got it through Wekerle Insurance in Patchogue. You may want to go through a place like that since a lot of the bigger ins. companies won't open new policies on LI.
I believe ours was just over $800 also. We are using State Farm. I think we get a discount bc we also have our cars insured through them as well.
