Last night a horrible smell that smells like cat pee is in OUR BEDROOM!
We do not own at cat nor does anyone of our neighbors, that we know of.
Anyways, I went and put bleach around the window, I cleaned around the inside of the window and it still smells! We havea basement apartment so it is ground level. The smell will not leave the bedroom~!!!!!!!
I put Lysol on the carpet and cleaned the furniture around the room.
Anyone have home remedies or a solution on how to get rid of the SMELL!!!!!!
Any cat owners????
HELP!!!!!!!

Re: NWR: Horrible Smell!!!
Sounds like it's moisture related. I had a basement apartment and in humid weather I would get that. What works the best is a dehumidifier. Run it for an hour or two and the smell will be gone. Baring that, you can try a couple of candles. They don't have to be scented, but you have to leave them burning for hours. Otherwise, the smell will disappear once it get dryer outside. Sorry. I know it's a pain. Good luck.

It could just be that the apartment is too damp. I would try a dehumidifier for a couple days to see if that helps, as someone else suggested.
In the summer in a basement apartment, you'll likely want to keep one running anyway!

I agree!
We live in a basement apartment too and it's gotten damp lately due to humidity and we ran the de-humidifier and it's gone.

Re: NWR: Horrible Smell!!!
Very random, and I hope it isn’t what you have, but in my apartment once we had the worst smell ever. We couldn’t figure out what it was and where it was coming from. At the time, I worked at a small publishing company that had a deli underneath so after a while I was able to recognize the smell—a decomposing mouse! Disgustingly enough, we had them all the time at work and it just took a bit to find a poor little dead mouse stuck on a glue trap I didn’t even know we had. Got rid of it, and got rid of the smell. Sooo gross!
