Has anyone taken any hot yoga classes? There is a place right around the block from me and I'm thinking about trying it but I wanted some feed back on it first. I'm nervous that it's gonna be way to hard for me lol.

Re: NWR - Hot Yoga
My sister went to hot yoga. She said it was good, but it was definitely hot! She said she's pretty sure that's what h*ll feels like! she said she almost passed out a few times but she's prone to passing out so don't go by her. She said she had to stop doing some of the yoga, but she didn't feel bad because she was still sweating from all the heat in there. She did like it

I definitely want to try it out. There is one by my gym on Woodhaven Blvd. I just have to find a day to go.

i've done it but I'm a yoga girl. I actually like regular vinyasa better. if you haven't ever done yoga before you may want to try that first.

Re: NWR - Hot Yoga
i did it for a full month a few years ago - i loved it but i just couldnt see myself paying that every month - plus i like to be more active, like running or doing the eliptical or something. It's worth to give it a trial run to see if u like it.
and once, my sister and i went and there was an old man in front of us who farted as we were belly down on the floor. My sister's forehead veins were going to pop out b/c she was trying to contain herself from laughing. i was going to kick her (_|_) cuz i almost laughing!

Re: NWR - Hot Yoga
There is a place near me (CT) that has all group fitness classes so its zumba, kickboxing, cycle, yoga, pilates, etc. Anyway, after taking basic yoga for a month i finally tried hot yoga, its amazing, i feel the pounds sweating off. Definitely do basic first though if your not a regular yoga girl.

Re: NWR - Hot Yoga
I love it! It's been hard to get myself there more than once a week since it's been so hot out! I really like the poses, it really works your whole body if done right. I used to do vinyasa but I had tendinitis in my right shoulder and any poses with weight on my arms (plank, downward dog) really made me uncomfortable, and I could feel it developing in my other shoulder. I think the bikram yoga is actually good for it since it's strengthening the same muscles they had me work on in physical therapy. They should have a sort of discount for new people so you can try it!
