So after a month of disappointments (found a gorgeous home in Malverne for 299k in foreclosure but they got an accepted offer within 3 days of the listing being posted, ugh... and then a similar situation occurred with a home in Floral Park and a home in Carle Place) we are taking a look at 3 homes tomorrow in Westbury, but in the Carle Place district. So excited to take a look at these three, and hope that we can put a bid in for one of the homes. Homes right now are going SO quick because mortgage rates keep on climbing, and I don't blame them. We want to get a home ASAP so that our rates don't go any higher!!!!!

were also in contract. hopefully getting the clear to close this week. seems like its taking alot longer for us for some reason. hopefully we'll be moved in mid-july. this really is our dream home and im so anxious for this to be over!!! anyone lock in their interest rates yet? what is yours? we're lucky - we got 3.25% at bethpage - but it expires at the end of the month!! scary!

My dad is my mortgage broker :) he's been trying to help me find a place with my FH quicker now that rates are going up... Right now its at the 3 1/4 mark, but my dad's afraid it's gonna go up passed 4 in the next month. I'm just hoping we can rush this process along to get a lower rate =/
