NWR: How do you guys feel about Brownies??

So I have been considering opening up a baking biz later in my future most likely with a law school friend of mine who loves to bake as well. For now however was thinking of starting small and focusing on specialty brownies. I feel like a lot of people bake specialty cupcakes and not a lot of give Brownies a chance. lol. How many people love brownies and/or would buy specialty brownies like s'more flavor or , baileys flavor, mint flavor, various blondies.

I have other unique ideas for brownies that are not standard flavors like the ones I mentioned above but I rather not share them in case someone steals them lol. Also have ideas for different brownie shapes and ways to decorate them. things like cupcake brownies, brownie cakes, themed shaped brownies etc.

I dont know part pf me says go for it and other part of me is nervous. I just want honest opinions as to whether there will be a market for brownies or if I should go a different route.

which possible name do we love better?? Adel's Brownie Indulgence or A Brownie Affair with Adel or A Brownie Affair ...and not use my name??

well...at the end of the day, if you aren't opening a storefront then the costs would be low to you to try it out, so it might be worth it to try! you don't have to buy ingredients etc until you actually have orders, and then you would be at least recovering your costs even if it doesn't ultimately work out.

Brownies are my favorite & I would definitly try different flavored ones! I would say go for it on the side of your regular job and see what happens, good luck

Sounds like a great idea!

I'd try to market your products toward little coffee shops, wine bars etc. A friend of mine has her own dessert business, and she already has a few local wine bars, and out east that she's contracted with.

Yay im so excited that you guys are giving me good responses. I have a great brownie recipe which all my friends swear is the best so im excited. My brother has a BBQ for his martial arts school coming up so im going to make 4-5 different types of things and see how it is received. Here is a picture collage i made of various stuff I could possibly make.

I was also thinking of calling the biz--> Adel's Brownie Indulgence. Lol. whats the feedback for it?

i LOVE brownies and i hate how so many people make them wrong! there i am in the sotre looking at a delicious brownie and when i get back to my desk its more cakey than brownie-ish. i HATE that!
since you are not opening up an actual store, go for it, what do you have to do, you know?
I would go with 'A Brownie Affair' and not use your names - it can become too much and you want something you can remember easily

I think the name is cute!! I am not a big fan of regular brownies but I do love blondies and I would sooo tryyy alll the different flavors. I say go for it :)

yess i dislike cake like brownies too. I have an awesome recipe for chewy brownies that I have been using for years. so excited to start!

I also plan on offering doggy treats like cup cakes just for dogs!

Ghirardelli is awesome for baking, I love using it when I make rainbow cookies, u can def tell the difference when u use ghirardelli instead of nestle
