Does anyone know anything about the area? Is it good? How are the schools? Do you risk flooding? Thanks!

Re: NWR - How is Harbor Isle in Island Park
I live in Long Beach
Harbor Isle is beautiful, and from what I hear the elementary school and maybe the jr school are there in the neighborhood, and are ok. For HS the kids go to hempstead
I have friends who have been there for almost 10 yrs, and they have never flooded, but it might be a flood zone. I know LB is . Check with your insurance carrier. If one place classifys it a flood zone, so will another.
There is one insurance agent in LB that covers the area
If you need more info, forum me, and I will ask my friends

It's been a while since I've been there...but I remember Harbor Isle as being a pretty upscale community. Unless something's changed in the past few years, I believe the kids go to West Hempstead high school.
I've always loved the area. Having the beach, Jordan's Lobster Farm and Whistle Stop cheesecakes within a few minutes drive is heaven to me.
