NWR - How much do you girls contribute to your health insurance plans at work?

At my job I do not contribute any money into my health insurance. It is fully paid by my company. Of course I pay my co-pay when I go to dr.'s but as far as monthly to the health insurance company, I pay nothing right now.

I was offered a job today and the monthly contribution by the employee would be $143 for a health plan that needs referrals and $193 for a plan that does not require a referral. I would probably go with the plan that does not require a referral.

I am just curious to see what the average rate is that most employees pay into their health insurance plans.

Thanks ladies...

I think I pay about $80 a month. Definitely do the plan that doesnt require you to getreferrals...cause that just a waste of time and money to have to go to your primary doctor first.

I pay about 80 bucks a month as well for 'open access' which means no referrals.

i pay 183/month for a really good ppo plan (no referrals) but i also work for a really small non-profit company, so i don't know if that's an average price or not.

I work for the state and it cost me $24/paycheck (every 2 weeks) for Empire Health.

I dropped my health insurance to be on my husband's b/c he doesn't pay a thing and every little bit helps me in the paycheck.

I pay nothing because I work for an Heath insurance company. But starting this year we will have to contribute. It will be like 14 bucks a paycheck for everything and no copays.

I pay $21 per paycheck 2x a month for 'open access' which means no referrals and I can see any doctor that's in my network.

I pay $133 a month. If I were you I would definitely take the health insurance plan that doesn't require any refferals. It may be more money now but it will save you money in the long run.
