FH & I have two graduation parties for 2 of his nieces. Both girls are graduating from high school and are going away to college. We are planning on getting them gift cards for BBB (SO they can get what they need for their dorm rooms), but we can't figure out how much to spend. We were thinking somewhere around $25- $30, since both girls are also turning 18 over the summer and we will be having birthday parties. TIA

Re: NWR- How much would you give?
i think $25-30 is sufficient, if you are going to be giving them another gift over the summer.
maybe consider getting the GC to target? i feel like it might go a little further there moneywise than BBB.

What about a little college survival kit. Maybe a cute totebag they can use for school and fill it with soap holder, shampoo carrier, notepads, address book, etc and put a $25 gift certificate to BBB in the tote. All the little things shouldn't cost too much. You can probably get it at Target or in BBB with the 20% off coupons.

I'd give them $50 each. How about AMEX gift cards so they can spend the money wherever they want ?
