NWR- How old were you

when you found your first gray hair? I found another one last night and am really upset about this. I know it's stupid, but I have about 5 now. It makes me so sad.

Sweetie...you have a few years ahead of me, and I have about 20 gray hairs...and have had them since I was 12 years old. I probably had them earlier than that, but didn't notice.

Each month I pluck the lil b@stards out..they grow back, but not TWO in their place, like those old-wives tales say.

I started getting them at 25.... and have been dying ever since!!!!!! If I let them go now, I will turn into Cruella Deville....LOL...

Got help me when I get pregnant and cant dye anymore...

Never had a gray hair until I got engaged and was trying to find a photographer. BTW - I'm 30

I'm 35 now, found my first grey hair in my early 20's.

My DH is all grey, well more like salt and pepper, and I LOVE it!!

I think I found my first one around 28. Then I would find one here and there, usually only around stressful times.

Probably around 23. Now I'm 28 and I have many, many white hairs. I've learned to stop pulling them since they seem to muliply when I do.

I'm 28. I started noticing them last summer... there were 2 small ones that I pulled. I found this new one on the other side of my head. It's not terribly long but it was gray. DH at first tried to say it was blond, but he was so lying! I don't know why I am so upset about this but I am.

OMG - i was a junior in HS!!! i was about 17 yrs old!! i remember because i asked a friend in the girls bathroom if she saw it too - and i than proceeded to yank it out.

if i yanked them all out now - i'd be bald...

I personally found it upsetting b/c I was 12, and always associated gray hairs with 'being older' - that might be why you're upset with it, but you have to realize that it's totally normal!

I always feel better after I look at FI and see that each day he's getting balder and grayer by the minute...and he's only 30! I know, I know...mean but hey....it's life.

FH started noticing his a few years ago when we first started dating. I haven't found any in my hair (as of yet) - knock on wood!

I haven't found any yet.... I'm 28. I will definitely be dyeing them away when they do start to sprout though.

I definitely associate it with being older! DH has a lot of gray and it doesn't seem to bother him. I need to just get over this and move on. I will continue to pull the few hairs out. Once they start multiplying, then I will dye!
