We stocked up our cabinets with canned goods, and non perishables and bought 2 cases of water bottles. Also bought a bunch of cat food and litter just in case.

I'm hoping it doesn't get too bad. We're the second story of an apartment complex and I really don't need a tree branch crashing through my roof

Yea...my maglite is out on a shelf and I have another led light. I need to pick up a lighter...have no idea where mine are from the move.

Will go to CVS and get a gallon or 2 of water and make sure our Brita is full, too

I'm terrified! FH is flying home from Europe very early Sunday morning!

I am PRAYING that if there is danger they just won't take off and he'll just stay with his brother an extra day!

We're on the 12th floor - so I'm guessing it will probably just get super windy for us, and I better hide our plants from our balcony indoors! Other than that, I'm hoping it all just goes away. Thankfully it's on a Sunday, so we can stay home and be cozy...

Yeah exactly this --- they don't sometimes fly out even if it's raining, so with a threat of a hurricane they'll be super safe.

Thanks girls! Not that I don't want him home asap, but I'd rather him stay safe over there!

Either way, I'm hoping it either misses us or ends up being some bad rain and that's it.

I dunno, i'm not really worried, and I live out east, where they say it will be worse. They usually aren't as bad as they say, but I love all the hype...

I lived in FL for 25 years and got hit by 3 hurricanes in 1 year. As long as the store stays to the east it's not so bad. The eastern side of the storm is the worst. Just hunker down with candles, water, food, books and games and make sure there isn't any loose debri around your house.
