NWR: I am really annoyed!

Okay, so I go to Stop and Shop and order 1/2 lb Balonga 1/2 lb american cheese, 1/2 lb ham,and a 1/2 lb of swiss. ANYWAY I tell the guy to cut everything but the american cheese VERY thin. SOOOOO he cuts the balogna first and I see that it's thick. I say to him (very nicely, since I had just heard him tell the last lady, who seemed annoyed, that he was new)'Could you cut it a little thinner? My FI doesn't like it that thick.' and he says 'If I cut it any thinner it won't be good. The peices will stick together! You don't know what you are talking about! I am right. You are wrong. You should listen to me! He will say I am right and tell you to get it like this all the time!!' then he looks at me and says 'Men are better cooks! the best chefs in the world are meN!' so I am in total shock and I am so non-confrontational and I don't say anything. Then the other deli lady whispers something to him and he says very loudly 'I don't have to take their crap! Especially when it's some girl who doesn't know what she's talking about!'

Well, i just sent FH back to Stop and Shop w/ the cold cuts to get a refund and talk to the manager! I guess I have to grow a pair. Wel, thanks for letting me vent!!

Holy crap. I would have nicley taken the bolonga and then thrown it in his face. What a jerk. Hopefully, you have another supermarket near by.

What a jerk! I am glad your FH took them back to get a refund. I am notorius for bringing things back to the supermarket
And i would never stand for someone to treat me that way, who does he think he is?? With that attitude, i doubt he will be working there very long anyway
