NWR: I am really sad....

Someone I work with was critiically injured when she went out to lunch today. I can't get the vision out of my head.

The whole school was a mess today! The teachers and the poor students were crying all afternoon.

I can't sleep or think about anything else.

I just keep thinking and thinking and crying. How do you get it out of your head?

I am so sorry that you are going thru this!! I can only imagine how hard it has been for you to stay strong for the kids and at the same time, let your emotions out. I hope that the weekend has given you some time to deal with the horrible scene that keeps playing in your mind.

I know tomorrow will be really tough for you, but I am sure that talking about how you feel- whether it be with the trama counselors or with the other teachers- will make things a bit more bearable. Be there for your kids and show them that we all have feelings and emotions. It's ok to cry!!

I see some pretty bad scenes at my job, and kind of detach myself- but I have never seen a friend or loved one injured in an accident like you have. My heart goes out to you!! Be strong! We are all here if you need to talk! Sending you, your coworkers, the kids and your dear friend and her family- all of the prayers, good thoughts and get well wishes!!

This is so sad. I am so sorry you had to witness something like this let alone your friend had to go through it. It's really sad. I understand you want to keep your emotions in tact in the classroom for the kids but if need be, I would just excuse myself and go to the bathroom and cry and let it out. You are only human and you did witness something horrible.

I hope your friend is okay. Please keep us updated.

I am sending many and for you, your friend, her family and the students.
