NWR- I don't know what I wanna be when I grow up!

NWR- I don't know what I wanna be when I grow up!

I feel like I'm in the wrong job... I do advertising sales- and I'm SO not a sales person- it's just not my personality. We're expected to cold call and solicit businesses ALL DAY and I only make commission- so if I don't do well (which i'm not) I barely make any money. I can't afford it and I'm just REALLY fed up and NEED a change... But I don't know what I want to do!

I was thinking of going back to school for web design or graphic design b/c I really enjoy creating websites and playing around with photoshop and stuff liek that, but I'm nervous going back to school- I have a bachelors in broadcast/digital media and school takes time and money that I don't have- so I don't want to make the commitment to go back to school unless I really know this is what I want to do and know that I can easily get a job somewhere.

Does anyone have any suggestions/advice? I feel so confused!!!

can you work in that field as an intern or something to try it out before going back to school?

I thought of that but a lot of times interns dont get paid and I definitely NEED a fulltime job...

Have you looked into what other things you can do with your degree? Maybe there's a job that you are qualified for now that you don't even realize. And I am sure there are companies that let you learn a bit about other things - such as graphic design - while you do your current job. So many companies let you go back to school and will pay for your schooling or part of it...

I do not know what I want to be when I group up either. I work in video prod now and it's ok. What I really want to do is make money by scrapbooking or singing or editing, so I am trying to start a side business of the scrapbooking (making cards / framed scrapbook pages) and editing... maybe one day it will be enough that I can do just that.

GOOD LUCK!

I LOVE video editing! That was my favorite thing to do when I was in school, but I just couldnt find a steady job with it. Where do you work and are they hiring?
