NWR - I dont want to underdress

A friend of mine is having her reception on a saturday night @ 7:00. Im not sure what I should wear. I have a black fully beaded cocktail dress, but I also like this dress I saw that has pink/fuscia color that has more of a summer feel to it. My only fear is of underdressing. What do you guys think I should wear?

i love that dress you posted a picture of...but i'm no help...i always want to be properly attired myself and am always doubting my selections.

That's pretty!
I don't like to wear black to weddings ( old fashioned rule & b/c it's too boring)
I think that is dressy, if you wear jewelery & heels.

At most weddings I've been too, my friends are usually dressed more casually than me, so I say unless you know this is a very fancy crowd, that's fine.

I feel the same way. I keep the dress in the closet for fancy events, but I dont want to wear black in the middle of JUNE!!! I just wasnt sure if this was 'formal' enough for an evening reception.
