NWR: I have a job!!

I went to a placement fair yesterday in Queens and I got a job in P.S 104 in Far Rockaway! I am very excited and scared out of my mind at the same time!!! Im sure it will be a wonderful experience. The principal and other staff i met with were so nice. And the principal told me not to buy a thing b/c she will get me whatver supplies i want. I cant wait to start orientation. Any girls teaching in the city that can offer any advice i would gladly welcome it! I am sooo relieved.

Good luck I have been teaching first grade in the city for one year at PS 156 in Laurelton. I am not going to lie to you and say that it is easy but you have to remember it is not a Long Island School and even though the children are little, it is completely different.

As long as you have a supporting principal and staff you will be fine. I had neither so it is kind of a difficult situation, along with a class with all behavioral problems.

But i made it through the year with only 30 days left.
