I want a new career but I feel like it's too late to go back to school. am in admin now. I am getting married soon and we are in the process of buying a house. I feel stuck at my job now. Any advice for me?

Maybe take a course or two at a local college to see if you'd be into it?

I feel like i should have been a teacher but honestly i think it's a little too late. With everything thats going on in my life It would be crazy hectic to go back to school now. I am just not happy being in admin and the money is not so good.

It's never too late! Maybe you could start out slow and take 1 or 2 courses at a time, then when everything settles, then go full force. If you feel like you should be a teacher - go for it!!

I know exactly how you feel. I'm no longer 'into' my career as much, not sure what else to do though. I've thought of teaching as well..but I don't know that I have the patience or tolerance for being in a room full of kids. So right now I'm 'datting' my career, and I'm contracting instead of being a full-time employee anywhere.
Good luck! I def. know how you feel...but def. don't feel like it's to late.

i am in the exact same boat. DH and i talked about it too, and for us, going back to school is not an option for me. the cost would be OK, but the cut in pay i would take as a teacher (what i want to do) is something we can't afford at this time, so i'll have to wait a few more years before i can go back.

Just deal with it actually. I feel like you about school,,not to mention i cant afford it.. AND I can't afford to get paid less as a newbie some where else!!!
Plus...why start a new job when Im going to try and get preggers about 6 months after the wedding!!

I'm starting a new career! I'm back in school now to get my masters in education. It's never too late to go back to school.
Check out the CUNYs, they have very affordable tuition.

I hear ya!
My job just isn't for me. And my fiance wants to leave his office too... we feel like we're both STUCK right now b/c we have to wait til after the wedding.
