i don't think any more than imitrex or aleve would, because it's those 2 meds combined. And, like any other medication, it depends on your medical history

I get really bad migraines about twice a month...well anytime it rains (or snows, lol). Last week when it snowed I couldn't take it. I was weak and dizzy and felt like I was going to vomit. Tylenol, advil, aspirin...none of them work for me. So, I went to CVS after work and got excedrin. I know it's just an over the counter drug, but it works wonders. I've used it twice already and it did the trick both times. I got the excedrin with the caffeine in it. Try it and see if it helps at all.
excedrin migraine works really well actually, and it's because of the caffeine. Sometimes if you drink really strong coffee, like an espresso, helps. Also, lying on your bed face up, and letting your head hang off the bed helps. Sometimes I put an ice pack behind my neck while I do this, and the room should be dark. Do it for about 12 minutes, and make sure someone helps you up gradually from the position. It's an old trick, but it works!
LOL, yea I've tried all of that. Unfortunately, it only works for a few minutes. Holding my head upside down over the bed feels great, but when I get up, my head starts throbbing again.

yeah sometimes it clears it up good, and sometimes your migraine is just so bad that it won't. if you catch it early though it usually helps.

Hey there, I'm a Dr in a local emergency department. We see tons of people with migraine and headache. Any change in frequency or intensity of headaches is a cause of concern. You should definitely be checked out. If possible, get an appointment with a neurologist or local doc asap. As for the expense of it, I agree that you can call a hospital for a clinic (but is usually a long wait for an appointment). Take care of your health first -no matter the financial burden, if there is something wrong you want to know sooner rather than later. If you have fevers, change in vision, neck stiffness or pain, weakness etc go directly to the ED. If not, as a former migraine sufferer, excedrin migraine worked better than prescription meds. Unfourtunately, sometimes our bodies get caught in a pain cycle that really can only be broken with meds only a doctor can give (muscle relaxers/narcotics).

I have gotten horrible migranes for the past 5 yrs or so and I have taken so many prescription meds. None of them worked for me. The only thing that does work is excedrin migrane, I cant live with out it!!!

I would def see a DR
I get dull migraines 2-3x a week and 2 bad migraines a month (including today) since the 3rd grade
I used to go to my primary dr and now go to a specialist for medicine.
